These Morningstar Farms Meal
Starters have proven to be
excellent, quick, healthy
alternatives to meat. The white
bag is full of quinoa, a South
American grain exceedingly
Simmer the quinoa for 15 minutes
much like rice (two cups water to
one cup quinoa) and add spices
and salt to taste.
Set the quinoa aside and saute
some onions, chiles, green
peppers - whatever veggies you
happen to have.
Toward the end of the saute add in
the meatless meat
Serve with a salad, tortillas and
salsa. Yum. Great low-fat carbs
for the tough afternoon of peddling.
