In many of medium and large towns in Thailand it is possible to find a
loaf of multigrain or whole wheat bread at the local bakery.
The tofu in Thailand is a plain white patty sold by vegetable vendors in
the open-air markets. It is a bit bland and requires a good deal of
spices to make it palatable.
Tomatoes, spinach, sliced onion and some fresh basil or cilantro add a
wonderful fresh flavor while a few pinches of chili powder and garlic salt
add the punch.
While it is not the most beautiful meal it is certainly delicious and
healthy.
