Road/Ride - Took the coastal secondary road south
out of Hau Hin that intersects with highway 4 (A-2)
south. Both roads are sealed and the ride is flat with a
wide shoulder. Traffic on both road was light to
moderate.
Prachual Khiri Kan is a small, quiet town with a long,
nice beach. Very few foreign tourists in this town.
Weekends are crowded with Thais vacationers.
Highlight of the town, other than the beach, is the lively
night market with every food item imaginable and the
fresh fish and seafood. The night market is on
Phitakchat Rd. about two blocks west from the HAAD
Thong Hotel.
Other food options include a few open air restaurants
across the street from the beach serving fresh
seafood.
Getting around town by foot is easy. Traffic is light and
the center of town and all the amenities are
concentrated on a few blocks. We did not find an
internet cafe in town so we used the internet at the
hotel for about 40 b /hour.
Slept - HAAD Thong Hotel. The high end hotel in town.
Location - On the waterfront, overlooking the water.
Cost -674 b ($18.21) Price higher if you want a tub in
your bathroom.
Amenities - Large room with window, balcony and a
view of the back side of the city.
Room has a/c, TV, fridge and en suite bath with
western toilet. The hotel has an elevator, a nice
restaurant/bar and a beautiful well-kept swimming pool.
We locked our bikes in a side room in the lobby for the
night.
