Most long-term cycle travelers will
break a few spokes on their tour.  It
is important to have the proper
length spokes to replace the broken
ones.  Front and back wheels are
often different lengths and most
bikes have two lengths of spokes
on the rear wheels.

We zip-tied a half dozen spokes to
our frames for easy carrying.
