Zip Ties & Bailing Wire
Often, the most useful tool in the toolbox is
not one that will do a specific job perfectly but
the one that will do a wide variety of jobs.
A handful of zip ties in
the bottom of the
pack will save the
cycle tourists in a
hundred different
ways.

Twisting a length of
bailing wire around a
broken rack might just
hold it in place until
the next town.
Duct tape is a most versatile tool.  A few
meters of the stuff wrapped around a pencil
can stop a tear in a pannier or hold the sole
on a shoe.

Crazy Glue (Super Glue) can repair just
about any plastic piece that splits in two.
